Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cleaner role based in KZN. The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in assigned areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces. The role involves using cleaning equipment and products safely, reporting any maintenance issues or hazards, and ensuring that all work meets quality and safety standards. The Cleaner will work as part of a team, follow supervisor instructions, and may be assigned to different client sites as required.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and waste removal to a consistent standard.
- Knowledge of safe use of cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment, with a strong focus on health, safety, and hygiene practices.
- Good time management skills, including the ability to follow cleaning schedules, complete tasks efficiently, and work with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to maintaining neat, orderly, and hygienic environments.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with a professional and respectful approach to colleagues and clients.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, lift, and move equipment and supplies as needed to perform cleaning duties.
- Previous experience in commercial or residential cleaning is an advantage but not always required; willingness to learn and follow training is essential.
- High school education or equivalent is beneficial; adherence to company policies, including punctuality and confidentiality, is required.
