Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Process Engineering with a minimum of 5 years' Process Engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment, including proven experience in continuous improvement, process optimization, project implementation and IATF 16949 quality systems.
Process Engineering & Process Control
Lead the development, optimization, standardization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
Monitor and control critical process parameters to ensure product quality, process capability, and compliance with IATF 16949 requirements.
Manage engineering changes, process validations, capability studies, and process documentation.
Analyze production data and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, throughput, cycle times, OEE, and material flow.
Support new product introductions, process trials, plant readiness activities, and facility layout optimization.
Production Support & Operational Excellence
Provide technical support to production teams to ensure stable and efficient operations.
Investigate process-related issues, downtime, scrap, and rework, implementing sustainable corrective actions.
Monitor key production metrics and develop solutions to improve capacity, productivity, and operational performance.
Lead technical troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment, tooling, automation systems, and process bottlenecks.
Support capital investment and process improvement projects.
Quality Management
Ensure manufacturing processes consistently meet customer, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies.
Develop and maintain PFMEA's, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and related quality documentation.
Support internal, customer, and supplier audits and drive closure of audit findings.
Continuous Improvement
Champion Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and World Class Manufacturing initiatives.
Lead projects focused on waste elimination, productivity improvement, cost reduction, OEE improvement, and process reliability.
Facilitate Kaizen activities and implement Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) opportunities.
Establish and monitor performance metrics to ensure sustainable improvements.
Project Engineering & Process Development
Manage process engineering projects from concept through implementation and handover.
Lead equipment installations, automation upgrades, process transfers, feasibility studies, and production trials.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver projects within budget, scope, and timelines.
Automation & Technical Support
Provide technical expertise on manufacturing equipment, robotics, PLCs, instrumentation, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems.
Support automation and digitalization initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
Drive the integration of new technologies and Industry 4.0 solutions where appropriate.
Maintenance & Reliability
Collaborate with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability, process stability, and machine availability.
Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective engineering solutions.
Supplier & Customer Support
Liaise with suppliers and customers on technical, quality, and process improvement matters.
Support customer visits, audits, technical reviews, and new project implementation.
Ensure compliance with customer-specific engineering and quality requirements.
SHE & Risk Management
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with SHE legislation, company standards, and customer requirements.
Conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions.
Support environmental sustainability initiatives through waste reduction, energy efficiency, and resource optimization.
Leadership & Development
Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to engineers, graduates, technicians, and production teams.
Facilitate technical training and knowledge transfer.
Foster collaboration, innovation, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
