We are looking for individuals who are dependable and willing to assume a variety of duties within the weaving Department. The individuals must be skilled in the following activities: Knotting, and Weaving.
The incumbent will be responsible for the following:
Knotting:
· Prepare and knot old beams to new ground or pile beams that are replacing the old beams
· Correctly set up and control the knotting machine during the knotting process
· Transport and loading/offloading of beams in the relevant areas in the weaving
· Set up and control the knotting machine for the knotting of all follow up beams or each loom
· Update the Barco and fill in any check lists correctly for each knotting
· Correctly care for all beam lifting equipment and knotting equipment during use and store all beam lifting and knotting equipment after use
· Following Housekeeping standards
Weaving:
· To correctly identify and prevent faults and weaving problems during the weaving process where possible
· Report and correct (if possible) warp and weft breaks, wrong selvedge’s wrong drawings, missing ends, wrong weft and wrong yarn tex on the loom
· To monitor and adjust the pile ratio settings and monitor the unit length on the loom during the shift
· To update all quality control sheets on any changes made for each loom
· Ensure that looms are running at optimum production efficiency throughout the shift
Qualifications/Training:
· Grade12 Qualification (Matric) or CTFL Qualification in Weaving
· Must have at least 2 years’ experience in the Weaving environment
· Excellent attention to detail skills
· Good Housekeeping skills
· Good Communication and Interpersonal skills

- Hammersdale, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:
- Weaving Textiles: 2 years (Preferred)
