Overall Objective of Job
To provide an outbound logistics service to the relevant stakeholders, including the operating of a Forklift to move goods and materials across narrow aisles.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Operating a Forklift in order to pick across all Principals for orders and long-haul (using WMS/picksheets).
- Loading and offloading stock onto / off trucks as required.
- Assisting in physical stock takes as required.
- Ensuring stock rotation is completed to standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Ensuring general housekeeping is completed to SOP.
- Maintaining a Forklift i.e. topping water, washing and cleaning of machines.
- Following and adhering to all Health and Safety rules and regulations.
- Complying with Food Safety Requirements.
Employee Specification
Qualifications
- Matric is sufficient for this role.
- Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain or Logistics advantageous.
- Forklift license required.
Experience and Requirements
- 2 years’ experience operating a Forklift.
