Job Description: We are looking to hire a hard-working, customer-oriented shop assistant to ensure the smooth running of in-store retail operations. The shop assistant’s responsibilities include welcoming customers to our shop and monitoring customer activities.
Responsibilities:
· Receiving, unpacking and arranging new shipments from suppliers and vendors.
· Stock control.
· Day-to-day administration.
· Booking of parcels with courier companies.
· Handling telephone and email enquiries and addressing customer complaints.
· Assisting with online orders (WooCommerce store).
· Arranging and labelling goods in the display shelves.
· Assisting customers in finding the products they’re looking for.
· Processing customer payments (Point of Sales).
· Providing shopping advice and recommendations to customers.
· Keep the sales floor area clean and organised at all times.
Requirements:
· Grade 12.
· Proven retail sales experience.
· The ability to stand for extended periods.
· The ability to use labelling and pricing equipment as well as Point of Sale (POS) software.
· The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Effective communication skills.
· Exceptional customer service skills.
· Detail-oriented.
Valid drivers’ licence
