Human Resources Consultant (LIFTUP) Position
The HR Consultant will play a pivotal role in implementing and managing ROCKBlue’s LIFTUP initiative. The LIFTUP initiative aims to improve morale, engagement and fulfillment of ROCKBlue team members and partner utility staff. This role is the point person for bringing this initiative to life and ensuring it becomes a sustained element of ROCKBlue.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Management
- Finalize and execute the 2026 LIFTUP Activity Calendar
- Coordinate scheduled activities including check-ins, newsletters, surveys, and virtual team-building events
- Develop and adapt motivational messaging and engagement content
Communication & Outreach
- Send bi-weekly motivational emails or WhatsApp messages
- Facilitate monthly check-in calls with ROCKBlue team members and utility staff
- Act as a trusted liaison between HR and staff regarding well-being
Recognition & Engagement
- Coordinate/publish ROCK STAR recognition posts on LinkedIn
- Organize quarterly virtual team-building sessions
- Assist with producing a bi-monthly internal newsletter featuring staff highlights
Monitoring & Evaluation
- Manage quarterly engagement and wellness surveys
- Track participation and feedback to assess the impact of LIFTUP
- Share summary insights with HR for program improvement
REQUIREMENTS
- Passion for team culture, morale, and well-being
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of empathy and ability to work with diverse teams
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms) and virtual communication tools (Zoom, WhatsApp, etc.).
- Experience in HR, organizational development, or employee engagement (preferred)
COMPENSATION
R100 an hour for 30 hours a month. When funding becomes available, the rate will increase to industry-standard rates.
Pay: R50,00 - R100,00 per hour
