VACANCY: LEGAL ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY (ROAD ACCIDENT FUND LITIGATION)
An established litigation practice in Morningside, Durban is looking for an experienced and motivated Legal Administrative Secretary to join our team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide secretarial and administrative support to attorneys.
- Manage RAF litigation files from start to finish.
- Draft and prepare legal documents and correspondence.
- Prepare trial bundles and court files.
- Liaise with clients, advocates, RAF, experts and others.
- Manage diaries, court dates and deadlines.
- File documents via Court Online and CaseLines.
- Maintain filing systems and general office administration.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3–5 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary in a litigation practice.
- Road Accident Fund (RAF) litigation experience is essential.
- Knowledge of High Court and Magistrates’ Court procedures.
- Excellent typing, drafting and proofreading skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
- Good organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Professional, reliable and detail-oriented.
ADVANTAGEOUS EXPERIENCE:
- Deceased Estates;
- General Civil Litigation;
- Debt Recovery;
- Legal practice management software (e.g. GhostPractice, LegalSuite or similar).
