JOB PURPOSE
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations and ensuring effective financial management and control. The role provides financial oversight and strategic support to management, ensuring that financial resources are managed efficiently and in alignment with the company’s business objectives.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Prepare monthly management accounts
Ø Circulate all company and departmental reporting
Ø Prepare monthly operational cash flow forecasts
Ø Make sure the full accounting function.
Ø Authorize changes to the chart of accounts
Ø Prepare financials for the year-end audit
Ø Develop, improve, and formalize accounting processes and associated policies and procedures
Ø Accounts payable function and Accounts receivable function
Ø Bank & cash function including payment preparation
Ø Ensure company creditors and company funds are reconciled monthly with zero errors
Ø Monthly budget versus actual reporting at the matter level
Ø Monitor monthly reports to highlight anomalies within the actual expenditure and budget
Ø Monthly cash flow forecast and reports
Ø Salary Reconciliations
Ø Collect and review month-end reconciliation files
Ø Annual budget preparation
Ø Preparation of employee salaries
Ø Vendor, client, and matter record management.
Ø Monthly monitoring of inactive matters
Ø Salary preparation and payment as well as all statutory returns like Provisional Tax, VAT, IRP5 submissions as well as CIPC submission.
Ø Ensure the fixed asset register is up to date, including reconciliations and control.
Ø Manage the SARS correspondence for all tax-related matters
Ø Manage the tax compliance for Mega HVT.
Ø Preparation of provisional tax calculations and submissions
Ø Prepare foreign payments
Ø Manage company pension fund.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:
Ø Qualification: BCom degree or a relevant degree/diploma in Financial Management, Accounting or Bookkeeping.
Ø Experience: 4–8 years’ relevant experience in a financial or accounting environment, including proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar managerial role.
Ø Accounting Software: Working knowledge and practical experience with Pastel or similar accounting packages, including financial reporting and ad hoc processing.
Ø Sound knowledge ISO 9001 2015.
