We are looking to employ an energetic and passionate dog lover to join our Pin Oaks Kennels family. The ideal candidate should love spending time with dogs, giving them love and attention throughout the day. They will need to be able to deeply relate with the dogs owners, giving them peace of mind through regular honest and empathetic communicatio, If you are a person who embraces the healthy outdoors and the deep satisfaction that comes from caring for dogs this could be your dream job.
Responsibilities include:
- Walking.
- Feeding.
- Administering medication.
- Record keeping.
- Cleaning up after the dogs.
- Handling incomings and departures of guests.
- Liaising and building relationships with the dog owners.
- Taking photos and updating owners on their dogs stay.
- Observing, identifying and reporting any medical or behavioural issues surrounding the dogs in our care.
Requirements:
1. Healthy, charismatic, deeply caring and passionate candidates will take preference.
2. Must be in good health, fit and able to walk up to 20km a day.
3. Working hours are 07h30 to 17h00, 5 days a week that will fall often over weekends and public holidays. The candidate should be available on this flexible shift basis.
4. Must have a drivers licence and own transport. We prefer that the candidate resides close to Centurion to eliminate any transportation issues.
5. Proficient in the English language, additional languages a plus.
6. Previous experience in caring for dogs is essential.
7. Ability to communicate effectively on whatsapp and other social media.
8. The basic salary is negotiable based on experience.
