Job Summary
Responsible for installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of diesel generators, power distribution systems, and lighting towers.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair generators and related equipment.
- Conduct fault-finding and diagnostics on electrical control systems, alternators, panels and associated components.
- Monitor performance (voltage, frequency, load balance).
- Perform routine preventive maintenance (oil change, filter replacement, battery check).
- Troubleshoot electrical faults in generators and control panels
- Maintain Automatic Transfer Switch systems
- Provide technical and informative feedback to the supervisor regarding findings and faults or situations as they occur
- Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics
- Complete Job Cards, service reports, and inspection checklist accurately and timeously
- Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly

Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Qualified Electrician (Trade Test Certificate)
- Qualified Millwright (Trade test Certificate)
