Summary:
The Die-Cut Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining die-cutting machines to produce quality products according to specifications. This role requires technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years related experience as a die cutting pressman.
- Printing/packaging industry experience is desirable
- Mechanical know-how
- Must have working knowledge of the use of a PC and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Troubleshooting mindset
- Strong math skills
- Attention to detail and excellent close vision
- People-oriented
Responsibilities:
- Adjusts and operates die cutting machine preparing all processes required (ex. Stripping, blanking).
- Maintains and performs minor repairs on equipment.
- Ensures total quality of the job while in operation.
- Works in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates teamwork spirit.
- Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
- Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner.
- Monitor feeding, printing, and racking processes of presses to maintain specified operating
levels and to detect malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary.
- Load, position, and adjust unprinted materials on holding fixtures or in equipment loading and feeding mechanisms.
