Accountability & Responsibility Areas
- Lead and oversee the financial shared services organization, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general accounting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to drive efficiency, standardization, and cost optimization across the shared services finance functions.
- Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process for the shared services finance organization.
- Establish and monitor performance metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and service level agreements (SLAs) to measure and improve operational excellence.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and technology enhancements to streamline financial operations and increase productivity.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations, and internal control policies across all shared services finance functions.
- Oversee the accurate and timely delivery of financial reports, analyses, and management information to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business units and regional finance teams to understand their needs and align shared services delivery models accordingly.
- Manage and develop a team of finance professionals, providing leadership, coaching, and career development opportunities.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making as a member of the corporate finance leadership team.
Education, Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CA (SA)
- 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, and shared services management roles
- Minimum of 5 years multiple foreign currency / treasury / cash management experience
- Knowledge of Advanced MS Excel and SAP software.
- Consolidations/group reporting experience.
- Strong leadership, organisation, and project management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proven track record in driving operational excellence, process improvements, and cost optimisation.
- Proficient in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
- Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
