Job Purpose
The ability to teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and produce prospective graduates in the fields of:
- Construction Management
- Quantity Surveying
- Facility Management
- Construction Health & Safety
- Contribute to academic initiatives undertaken by the department to enhance learning according to the needs of the industry and the department’s teaching & learning goals.
- Incorporate teaching & learning, research & innovation, and community engagement outcomes into the academic project.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Minimum Requirements
- A Master's degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying. All base qualifications must be in Construction Management or Building or Quantity Surveying.
- At least 2 years relevant teaching experience in higher education or 2 years industrial experience in the Built Environment.
- Registration with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) or the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP) is recommended.
