Responsible for all required activities (quality checks, housekeeping) and maintaining the daily activities that are related
to a production line to ensure quality finished goods are produced and released to downstream processes on-time-infull or as prescribed per production plan.
Matric or recognized equivalent qualification
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Manufacturing
5S - Housekeeping
Exposure to a food manufacturing environment
Safety and Quality:
- Following all Nando’s Feitoria safety rules and policies.
- Follow/ adhere to all statutory and company’s safety rules and policies.
- Always wear all prescribed PPE.
- Responsible and accountable to maintain 5S/ housekeeping to the required standards in or around area of responsibility and any other areas when requested.
- Report near misses/ unsafe behavior/ incidents to immediate supervisor/manager/EOHS Officer or SHE Rep.
- Following all the company’s safety rules and policies.
- Never to engage in any unsafe act.
- 100% compliance to safety rules.
- Responsible for production to attain 5S principles in work area.
- Adhere to zero harm and zero alcohol tolerance safety principles.
Operations and Equipment Usage (Machine and Forklift):
- Performance set-up tasks/ duties within assigned work area, refer to SOP and work instruction for details.
- Assist to attain safety, quality, productivity, and equipment effectiveness goals in assigned work area.
- Ensure equipment is in order by conducting a 5-point check on equipment before operation every shift.
- Ensure lock out system is always followed when conducting 5S.
- Record scrap levels daily on shopware.
- Participate fully in production attaining OEE score of 65% or plus in work area.
- Participate fully in production attaining scrap score of 2% or less in area.
Miscellaneous Tasks/Activities:
- Participate in all required inventory control activities, namely: stock take.
- Participate in Nando’s Feitoria (Operational Excellence) initiatives.
- Any other reasonable task assigned by the team leader or manager.
- Be prepared to work overtime when required.
