Liaison
Requirements
- Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification, preferably a B-Degree or
National Diploma in the criminal justice or related fields
- 1-3 years’ relevant experience in the field of policing and
crime prevention, community safety issues and community-based
safety initiatives
- A valid driver’s licence
- Computer literacy: MS Word
- No criminal record
Key Performance Areas
- Assist with the establishment and coordination of
community-driven crime prevention support initiatives and
projects.
- Develop community-based programs and resources by
holding workshops/presentations to recruit suitable
volunteers for crime-prevention and other community-driven
operations /programs.
- Assist with the administration of community safety related
initiatives/projects.
- Liaise with existing Community Safety Structures and other
relevant stakeholders to develop and maintain relationships
with residents and implement community safety initiatives.
- Analyse and interpret benchmarking information in respect
of Community Safety matters to adapt or develop projects
or programs that will be of value to communities.
- Adherence to financial plan as budgeted to ensure financial
administration that would support the department’s
budgetary objectives.
- Manage training and skills development and the transfer of
skills and knowledge.
