Our Travel support team seeks a Groups Reservations consultant to join their team. You will be responsible for calls, reservations and quotations on all properties within the Village N Life portfolio through the Travel Support Platform.
Minimum Requirements:

Matric
-
Tourism / Hotel qualification advantageous

Strong OPERA experience
-
At least 2 years in Reservations / Groups reservations
Duties and Responsibilities:
Product Knowledge

Knowledge of all Village N Life products / services

Policies and procedures
Customer Relations
-
Maintain high standard of customer service through excellent communications skills

Adopting a can-do attitude

Assist in investigating and resolving customer complaints
Sales
-
Upsell and promote all Village and life products
-
Quotations done with precision
-
Confirmation and pro-forma invoices issued an time and according to procedures
-
Follow up and hand over all details of group bookings to operations
-
Maximise revenue sales and occupancies
Reservations
-
Accurately record and process all reservations through various channels, and capture on OPERA
-
Book transfers and accurately record with travel company and guest
-
Meal reservations confirmed in advance and communicated to venue
-
Liaison with clients and VnL properties - maintain coridal relationships
-
Process amendments to reservations such as extensions, early departures etc.

Manage 'no show' reservations by investigating and recording

Record special billing arrangements
-
Liaise with Reservations / finance & Sales manager for all reservations requiring credit approval

Maintain knowledge of special rates/promotions

Immediate communication to front office on the day's arrivals

Follow up n provisional bookings
-
Ensure bookings are confirmed and payments are cleared to the bank

Follow up special requests, tourism service bookings and arrival times
-
Communicate any special / VIP bookings to Reservations manager and Front Office

Guest complaints follow up
-
Accept waitlist reservations and record on PMS
