About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Warranty Clerk to join our team at Kia Germiston. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the administration and processing of warranty claims, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines and customer satisfaction. Your contributions will play a key part in maintaining high service standards and operational efficiency within our dealership.
Key Responsibilities
- Process warranty claims accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to manufacturer's policies and procedures.
- Verify warranty coverage and eligibility for service issues reported by customers.
- Liaise with service advisors and technicians to gather necessary documentation and information for warranty claims.
- Maintain organized records of all warranty claims and transactions in accordance with company standards.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including customers, service staff, and manufacturer representatives, to resolve claim-related inquiries.
- Monitor and track the status of outstanding warranty claims, ensuring follow-up and resolution as required.
- Assist with warranty audits and ensure compliance with internal and external quality requirements.
- Provide administrative support related to warranty parts returns, ensuring accurate processing and documentation.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent qualification; further education in automotive technology or business administration is a plus.
- Demonstrable experience in warranty processing, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing claims and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with various stakeholders.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software applications relevant to warranty administration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Kia warranty policies and procedures or experience with other automotive brands.
- Certification or training in warranty processing or automotive service management.
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment, demonstrating an understanding of customer service principles.
