Hotel Group with Hotels based in Randburg / Muldersdrift is looking for a Sales Executive focussed on Weddings, Conferencing & Banqueting.

Prospect, set appointments and call on existing and potential new clients.

Conduct client needs analyses, demonstrate capabilities, make initial recommendations, suggest products and obtain commitment to recommended properties.

Will follow company policies as it relates to the completions of contracts and paperwork to submit orders.

Provide management with weekly sales reports summarizing actual sales, pipeline sales and lost sales.

Responsible for the creating and delivery of client presentations.

Instrumental in obtaining and providing the organisation with information on specific clients within their territory using interviewing methods, internet, word of mouth and general research activities.

To put into place effective strategies throughout the year in order to achieve the monthly and total year budget.

Maximize sales opportunities in the Corporate World, Event Management Companies, and Travel Industry regarding conference, events and corporate functions.

Research areas within the hospitality industry that impact sales for assigned region and target these decision makers and present unique offerings

Accountable for individual sales goals and liaise closely with Marketing Consultant to synchronise approaches and communication to market

Accompany prospective clients’ on-site inspections

Completes required contracts and paperwork timorously for submission

Entertain clients / prospective clients who demonstrate potential for high spend or recurring business.

Negotiate rates and terms. Finalise agreed rates, contracts, admin, etc.

Compile Sales Pipeline and sales reports.

Attend and report on sales in management meetings.
Requirements:

At least 5 or more years of MICE sales and planning experience in similar establishments

Hotel or Event Management Certificate / Diploma

Must have strong negotiating skills and comfortable ‘asking’ for business.

Must be Proficient in MS Office Word and Excel programs.

Must have experience with POS booking management systems

Must have proven knowledge and savvy with social media

Must have a firm grasp of how to market, capture and convert business and knowledgeable of different cultures and trends.

Must be extremely detailed, oriented and creative at up-selling.
