We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable individual to fill the role of Driver at our George Branch. As a Driver, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient operations of our warehouse by accurately collecting and delivering automotive products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Select items from stock based on order specifications and carefully pack them for shipment.
- Inspect products for quality standards and report any discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage of goods.
- Work closely with the warehouse team to achieve collective goals and meet customer demands.
- Generate vehicle maintenance reports and ensure the cleanliness and representability of the vehicle.
- Arrive at customers promptly.
- Perform additional ad-hoc duties as requested by the Branch Manager.
Minimum requirements:
- Matric
- Must speak english and afrikaans
- Must have a valid South African code 8/10 driver’s licence.
- Knowledge of the George suburbs and surrounding areas.
- Demonstrated willingness to collaborate and assist colleagues, including suppliers, transporters, sales staff, managers, and procurement teams.
- Possess physical fitness for tasks that involve standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
- Exhibit a high level of attention to detail, ensuring precision in tasks such as picking and packing.
- Ability to work well independently, showing initiative and self-motivation.
- Focus on identifying and solving challenges efficiently to contribute to a seamless workflow.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with diverse individuals and teams.
- Consistent ability to follow instructions and apply common sense in daily tasks.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new processes and responsibilities.
- Must be able to count and demonstrate strong numerical abilities.
