ProStaffSelect are in search of a talented & focused PASTRY CHEF who has led a pastry team and who understands the creativity, techniques and dynamic of this level of cuisine and who's equally enthusiastic to produce daily desserts and pastries to this amazing standard.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 2 or 3 year recognized professional/classical/formal PASTRY qualification
Minimum 4 - 5 years industry work experience within Top Restaurants / Fine Dining Environments / 5* hotels
Culinary strengths in PASTRY, DESSERTS, ARTISAN BAKING & CONFECTIONERY with experience in plating of multiple components
Must be adaptable to working off different menus on a weekly basis and creating dessert menus for wedding functions when needed
Effective communication skills and proficient in English & an outgoing personality
Must be comfortable creating new dishes with SEVERAL detailed plating components and INNOVATIVE garnish ideas.
Must demonstrate good planning skills, be well organized and work efficiently and hygienically.
Must have the confidence and patience to train Junior Pastry Chefs - CDP, Commis and Trainee in the Pastry Kitchen
