1.1.1 Tender Coordination and Pipeline Management
· Manage the full tender lifecycle, from opportunity identification through to submission and outcome tracking. Maintain and update tender tracking systems and databases
· Coordinate proposal teams, timelines, and deliverables
· Ensure compliance with submission requirements
· Monitor deadlines and ensure no opportunities are dropped
1.1.2 Tender Scouting and Business Development
· Research and monitor tender platforms, donor opportunities, and funding calls.
· Assess opportunities for relevance, eligibility, and strategic fit.
· Identify potential clients, partners, and new business opportunities beyond formal tenders.
· Share regular opportunity updates with the team.
· Support internal go/no-go decision-making processes.
1.1.3 Proposal Development
· Coordinate and contribute to proposal development processes
· Draft and edit high-quality proposals and expressions of interest
· Coordinate inputs required for proposal development, including technical content, budgets, and supporting documentation.
· Ensure submissions meet client specifications and quality standards
1.1.4 Systems and Continuous Improvement
· Improve tender processes, systems, and workflows
· Manage tender-related knowledge resources, including CVs, company profiles, and proposal materials.
· Capture lessons learned and improve future submissions
· Support alignment between marketing, business development, and tendering activities.
1.1.5 Reporting and Performance Tracking
· Provide monthly and quarterly reporting indicators on tender and business development activity
· Track and submit key metrics, including pipeline value, number of submissions, and conversion rates
· Flag any notable risks, trends, or opportunities identified during reporting
· Ensure data is accurate, timely, and ready for management review
1.1.6 Meetings and Engagement
· Participate in relevant tender and business development meetings.
· Provide regular updates on pipeline activity and priorities.
· Work closely with internal teams and consultants to support successful submissions.
Non negotiable: · Degree or diploma in Business Development, Marketing, Communications, Development Studies, or a related field.
· Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience.
· Demonstrated experience in:
o Tendering and proposal writing.
o Business development and lead generation.
o Research, evaluation, consulting, or related professional services environments.
o Coordinating multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders.
Pay: R28 000,00 - R30 000,00 per month
Experience:
- Proposal writing: 5 years (Required)
- Consulting, NGO, Development or NPO: 5 years (Required)
