Marine Operations Manager / Marine Engineer
Location: Musha Cay & The Islands of Copperfield Bay - Exuma, Bahamas
Musha Cay is one of the world's premier private island resorts, accommodating one private charter group at a time. We are seeking a hands-on Marine Operations Manager / Marine Engineer to oversee all marine operations, maintain our fleet to the highest standards, and help deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Manage all marine operations and fleet maintenance
- Diagnose, service, and repair Yamaha outboard engines and associated marine systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and maintain service records
- Conduct minor fiberglass, gelcoat, and cosmetic boat repairs
- Maintain docks, marine equipment, and watersports equipment
- Operate vessels for guest transfers and excursions
- Assist with guest watersports activities such as reef & deep-sea fishing, snorkeling and various other boating excursions
- Ensure compliance with marine safety standards
- Supervise marine personnel and maintain parts inventory
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in marine operations, marine engineering, or boat maintenance
- Extensive hands-on experience servicing and repairing Yamaha outboard engines and Yamaha jet skis
- Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and troubleshooting skills
- Experience performing minor fiberglass, gelcoat, and cosmetic boat repairs preferred
- Experience operating powerboats safely with guests onboard
- Previous experience working in a private island, luxury resort, superyacht, or other remote environment preferred
- Professional, self-motivated, and guest-focused with the ability to work independently
- Reef and deep-sea fishing experience preferred
