Job Position: Fleet Controller
Location: Port Elizabeth (Markman)
Salary: R8 500 per month commensurate with qualification and experience
Qualifications / Requirements:
· Matric Certificate
· Excel experience essential
· Detail Orientated
Key Performance Areas:
· Oversee daily fleet operations and address any issues that arise to ensure smooth operation
· Plan and track regular maintenance and servicing of vehicles to ensure they remain in good condition
· Monitor and manage costs related to fuel, maintenance, repairs, and other fleet expenses
· Assign and manage driver schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficiency
· Evaluate driver performance, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency
· Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, inspections, and compliance documentation
· Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to reduce the risk of accidents and ensure safe vehicle operation
· Use and manage fleet management software to track vehicle performance, maintenance schedules, and driver activities
· Develop and implement procedures for handling vehicle breakdowns, accidents, and other emergencies
· Address and resolve emergency situations to minimize disruption to fleet operations
· Prepare reports on fleet performance, including metrics related to cost, efficiency, and safety
· Handle administrative tasks related to fleet management, including filing and managing documentation
· Maintain effective communication with drivers
