ABOUT THE ROLE:
Do you live for the buzz of a busy factory floor? We're looking for a hands-on CMT Factory Manager to take full ownership of our production – from cutting to machine line to packing. You'll be the one making sure every job moves smoothly, quality is checked on the line, and every single order goes out in full and on time.
WHAT YOU'LL DO (SKILLS & DUTIES):
- End-to-End Monitoring: Own the full job lifecycle – track orders from cutting, through the machine line, right to the packing station – no gaps, no dropped balls.
- On-the-Line QA: Spot-check products as they move through production – catch quality issues before they reach the customer
- In-Full Deliveries: Make sure every order ships complete – no partials, no excuses
- Scheduling: Create and manage daily production plans to hit targets
- Team Leadership: Assign tasks, manage attendance, and coach your team to perform better
- Safety First: Enforce PPE rules and keep the floor hazard-free
- Machinery Care: Keep an eye on machine health and call in maintenance when needed
- Data & Reporting: Track waste, efficiency, and output – report daily on what's working and what isn't
- Training: Get new hires up to speed and cross-train existing staff
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:
- Min Matric / Grade 12 essential + 2–3 years of CMT or clothing manufacturing experience.
- Sharp attention to detail – you spot a crooked seam from across the room
- Comfortable with Excel and basic reporting.
- Strong communication – you can talk to operators, management, and buyers
- Clear criminal record
