The Automation Tester will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications. The role requires expertise in test automation tools, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Telerik, or similar tools.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and refine test cases.
- Perform regression, functional, and integration testing to validate system performance.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing frameworks and methodologies.
- Analyse test results and provide detailed reports on quality metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in test automation using Selenium, Telerik, or comparable tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the banking, fintech, or payments industry.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Skills Required
- Proficiency in test automation tools (Selenium, Telerik, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and reusable test scripts.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
- Understanding of database systems and SQL queries.
Experience Level
- Mid to senior-level experience (3+ years) in software testing, with a focus on automation.
