Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Assistant Spray Painter to join our team on a part-time spray painting basis with the intent to become full-time spray painter. Please Include a photo when submitting your CV as well as 3 valid references.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in the spray-painting industry.
- Ability to maintain accurate stock records and keep stock levels organised.
- Ability to oversee the preparation of products before spray-painting, as well as being hands-on and able to complete the preparation work yourself.
- Good knowledge and experience working with products such as: AC’s, Polyurethane’s and Acrylic’s
- Ability to mix paint correctly from the paint technical data sheet and determine the correct viscosity for spray application.
- Ability to read and understand plans/drawings to ensure products are spray-painted correctly according to specifications.
- Must have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Take proper care of tools, machinery and materials in the spray department.
- Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
The following will count in your favour
- Previous experience in the woodworkingor motorcar industry.
- Experience operating woodworking machinery assembling or other parts of the production line.
- A willingness and enthusiasm to learn more about woodworking and the furniture manufacturing process.
The ideal candidate must be hands-on, detail-oriented, reliable, and willing to learn. They should be comfortable working independently while also being able to oversee and assist with the preparation and spray-painting process from start to finish.
Pay: R35,00 - R70,00 per hour
