Kendrick Recruitment are currently seeking a DMC Wholesale Travel Specialist to join a luxury hospitality company based in Sandton. As a Wholesale Travel Specialist, you will be responsible for designing tailor-made itineraries, managing reservations, and ensuring exceptional service to our guests. Responsibilities:
Creatively plan and design tailor-made itineraries for leisure FIT clients.
Manage the reservations process from quote to finalizing, including invoicing and travel documents.
Adhere to strict turnaround times according to standard operating practices.
Proactively sell products and services to provide the best possible itinerary for guests.
Maintain constant and clear communication with colleagues, agents, operators, guests, and suppliers.
Requirements:
Good understanding of delivering excellent service to agents and guests.
In-depth knowledge of Tourplan or a similar booking system.
In-depth geographical, logistical, and product knowledge of two of the following regions: South, Southern, and East Africa.
Willingness and aptitude to learn.
Skills Required:
Proficiency in computer skills, including Tourplan, ESS, MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and WETU.
Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data and make decisions based on the analysis.
Relevant understanding of business strategy and commercial decision-making.
Strong sales process and problem-solving skills.
Experiential creativity and a focus on guest delight.
Effective communication, time management, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail, administration, and organization skills.
Proficiency in P-drive navigation and paperless filing.
Speed reading and typing.
Experience Required:
Minimum of 3-5 years of inbound tour operating experience.
Tourplan experience is an advantage.
The successful candidate should possess an enquiring mind, be methodical, pay attention to detail, demonstrate creativity, show perseverance and patience, work well under pressure, accept routine tasks, have high energy levels, be flexible, and have the ability to overcome obstacles and persist with the task at hand.
