Lead the welding team during your shift—coach, support, and guide them as needed.
Monitor the performance of the welding team and make adjustments as necessary.
Troubleshoot welding equipment and ensure preventative maintenance is carried out daily to minimize downtime.
Keep production on track with the schedule, making sure quality and safety standards are met.
Help train new welders and team members on welding processes.
Work with maintenance and engineering if machines need repairs or improvements.
Keep accurate records and shift reports—production numbers, downtime, issues, etc.
Communicate with other shift leads and supervisors to keep things running smoothly 24/7.
Productivity: Maintain the desired levels of productivity, efficiency and production targets, whilst still always maintaining the desired quality levels.
Quality Control: Quality Controllers review check list to ensure products are completed to specifications.
Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other team members, such as production staff and quality inspectors, to meet production schedules and quality standards.
Compliance: Adhering to safety regulations and company policies regarding the use of machines, vehicles, cranes, paints, solvents, and other chemicals, etc.
Discipline and General conduct: Maintaining a high level of discipline, adherence to Company Policies.
Reliable Attendance: Employee must demonstrate a consistent and punctual attendance record.
