Senwes is looking for a Senior Creditor Controller to oversee and manage the creditors function by ensuring accurate, compliant and efficient payment processes while maintaining sound financial controls and governance. This position is responsible for optimising creditors systems and procedures, providing financial insights to support business decisions, leading the creditors team, and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and auditors to ensure operational excellence.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity and compliance of creditor accounts through effective reconciliation reviews, payment controls and financial oversight.
- Drive continuous improvement by enhancing creditors systems, processes and controls to improve efficiency, compliance and operational effectiveness.
- Analyse creditors data to optimise cash flow, improve supplier terms and provide financial insights that support informed business decisions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and auditors to promote collaboration, compliance and efficient business processes.
- Lead and develop the creditors team by driving performance, accountability and continuous professional growth to achieve departmental objectives.
- Resolve supplier and stakeholder disputes promptly and professionally to minimise business disruption and ensure timely resolution of complex issues.
Qualifications and experience: Completed SAIPA (BCom Degree with Articles) or CIMA qualification. Minimum 2 years' relevant experience within a creditors or finance environment. Candidates with management or supervisory experience will receive preference.
Skills: Creditors and accounts payable management. Financial analysis and reporting, and financial controls and governance. VAT and tax compliance. Reconciliations and general ledger management. Internal controls and audit compliance. Leadership and people management.
