Key responsibilities :
- You will formulate chemo and Radiotherapy regimens on authorization portals [ ICON and SAOC] and submitting to the medical schemes. For this you will need knowledge of chemo regimens and radiotherapy protocols as well as ICD 10 codes.
- Follow up and communication with medical aid to enable speedy authorization of plans submitted.
- Handling decline of treatment: Letter of motivation if requested by fund.
Discussing with oncologist regarding decline treatments
Emergency and urgent requests escalated via correct routes.
- Communication with patient throughout the process of authorization.
- Documentation of status of authorization on patient file.
- Facilitating fast authorization for the planned treatment of the patient is the key responsibility.
