CAPACITI DIGITAL CAREER ACCELERATOR
CAPACITI Digital Career Accelerator is the skills development division of UVU Africa. CAPACITI' s vision is to enable inclusive growth of the digital economy by ensuring a supply pipeline of future-fit, skilled employees with relevant digital skills matched to industry demand. We do this through innovative training and experiential learning programmes that focus on both technical and professional development.
CAPACITI brings together expertise, technology and resources from industry, academia, government and impact funders in order to develop young South African talent with in-demand skills, giving them a foundation for successful and fulfilling careers.
ADVANCED TECHNICAL ACADEMY
This Advanced Technical Academy is a year long programme aimed at equipping young tech professionals with the skills required to succeed in the digital economy. With 6 months intensive and immersive training in our Braamfontein Accelerator, candidates will enter into this programme and be streamed into career and skill appropriate streams that will encapsulate DevOps, Java and Data Analytics. The programme is designed with a follow on 6 months internship at a corporate partner of CAPACITI's to allow candidates the opportunity to put into practise the skills they have developed whilst in training.
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS
We are looking for graduates that are eager to join the tech industry and have already completed their qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Cyber Security and other tech domain specific qualifications and preference will be given to candidates who have an NQF 6 or higher. While not mandatory, candidates who have vendor certifications alongside their university qualification are encouraged to apply for this programme.
As CAPACITI is funded by various public and private funders, we have important parameters that determine eligibility for any of our programmes. These include, but are not limited to:

Have no criminal record and a clean credit history

South African nationality

Be under or unemployed at the time of application

Able to attend full-time training Monday to Friday

Able to commit to the full 12-month programme and committed to completing it

Be available from September 2024
