We are looking for an experienced and capable Web Developer to join our client's team on a contract basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining and improving the company's website, ensuring that it remains secure, responsive, fast and user-friendly.
We are particularly interested in someone who can work independently, solve problems and demonstrate their technical ability through previous projects or a portfolio.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop, maintain and improve website functionality
- Build and implement new website features
- Identify and resolve bugs and technical issues
- Ensure websites are responsive across desktop, tablet and mobile devices
- Test and maintain cross-browser compatibility
- Improve website speed and overall performance
- Implement technical SEO best practices
- Improve website functionality and user experience
- Maintain website security and carry out regular updates
- Work with marketing and design teams on website projects
- Manage deadlines and deliver projects independently
- Recommend technical improvements where appropriate
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience working as a Web Developer
- A strong portfolio demonstrating previous web development work
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Experience with relevant frameworks, libraries or other development technologies
- Experience with WordPress, Shopify or similar CMS platforms
- Understanding of responsive web design
- Knowledge of website performance and optimisation
- Understanding of technical SEO principles
- Knowledge of website security and maintenance
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Strong communication skills
Portfolio Required
Candidates must be able to provide examples of previous websites or web development projects.

Position Details
The contract offers an opportunity to work on a range of website development, optimisation and maintenance projects. The exact scope and duration of the contract will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
Pay: R350,00 - R500,00 per hour
