· Auxiliary staff · Ensuring that quality health service is rendered to all patients and visitors. · Teaching and guidance of nursing assistants.
- Identifying training needs of nursing assistants.
- Adhering to the company uniform policy.
- Report on/off duty to sister in charge and before leaving the unit at all times.
- Adherence to hospital policy, protocol and guidelines
- Attendance at in-service training and education.
· Adherence to the dignity and respect of colleagues, patients, doctors, visitors and authority to superiors. · Ensure professional practice aspects are adhered to; registration, accountability, responsibility in accordance with the scope of practice as laid down in the Nursing Act and SANC regulations
- Adherence to the specific nursing function, protocols and policies of the unit/ward/theatre you are allocated to
- Responsible for maintaining a high standard of nursing care.
- Assessing, intervening and reporting on patient’s condition and care in the unit by his/her own observations and the observations of others.
