Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management & Reporting:
- Consolidate and review management accounts across multiple countries and business units.
- Implement real-time reporting mechanisms tailored to company’s operational structure.
- Manage year-end financial close process, as well as month end processes.
- Act as the primary liaison with external auditors; coordinate the annual (and interim if any) audit process.
- Facilitate auditor requests by providing timely information, explanations, and access to records and personnel.
2. System Implementation:
- ERP system rollout to improve efficiency and reporting for various business units.
- Identify and implement process improvements in financial operations, reporting, and controls.
3. Cashflow Planning & Multi-Currency Management:
- Budget, plan and forecast cashflow requirements for multiple divisions, considering multi-currency disbursements across the region.
4. Forex Hedging:
- Manage foreign exchange exposures by developing and executing forex hedging strategies to minimize currency risks.
- Monitor forex market trends and collaborate with banks or financial institutions to ensure favourable rates for transactions.
5. Debtor and Creditor Management:
- Oversee and optimize debtor/creditor functions, ensuring smooth payment workflows in a high-transaction environment.
- Facilitate and process all invoices to customers and payments to suppliers.
6. Stock Reconciliations:
- Perform and manage monthly stock reconciliations to ensure accuracy and alignment of inventory records with financial systems.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to identify and resolve stock variances promptly.
7. Truck Booking & Logistics Coordination:
- Coordinate the booking of trucks and collaborate with transporters, warehouses, and clients to ensure trucks are booked and loaded on time.
- Monitor logistics schedules to minimize delays and ensure efficient delivery of fertilizer products to clients across the region.
8. Cross-Border Operations:
- Align financial operations with regional requirements, ensuring compliance with local regulations in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, and Tanzania.
9. Tax, Regulatory & Compliance
- Manage VAT, income tax, and other statutory returns and payments across operating jurisdictions.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualifications: SAICA or SAIPA articles preferred.
Experience:
- 2-5 years in financial accounting or financial management roles, preferably within industries such as commodities, logistics, or distribution.
- Exposure to forex hedging, multi-currency operations, cross-border financial processes, and stock management is a strong advantage.
Skills:
- Excellent technical accounting expertise.
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
Pay: R30 000,00 - R60 000,00 per month
