Qualification and Skills
Matric with relevant qualification
3 - 5 years relevant experience in a related role within the food marketing and sales environment
Experience in Edible Oils would be advantageous
Proven experience in sales strategy, planning, and forecasting.
Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing key accounts and regional distributors.
Ability to coordinate and manage exhibitions, and implement marketing and brand development activities.
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Experience with sales reporting and database management.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy:
- Provide strategic input into the Sales strategy to align with business objectives.
- Assess market gaps, competitor activities, and new customer opportunities.
Sales Planning:
- Monitor and review customer activity plans and plan monthly sales activities.
- Gather and provide relevant information to support Sales and Marketing activities.
- Analyze data to update sales activities and action plans.
Sales Forecasting:
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and allocate stock appropriately by region and customer.
- Maintain stock levels in alignment with SLAs and manage customer expectations.
Sales Management:
- Negotiate and manage Trading Term Agreements and Key Account pricing.
- Liaise with Customer Service for orders and delivery details.
- Oversee stock return processes and manage operational activities within the channel.
- Implement sales activity plans, pursue new business opportunities, and manage product-related complaints.
Regional Accounts:
- Manage Regional Accounts Agents, Distributors, Cash & Carry’s, Buying Groups, and -Corporate clients.
- Develop and implement Regional Sales and Advertising plans and marketing activities.
Product Launches and Exhibitions:
- Coordinate and manage exhibition launches, special events, and prepare exhibition designs.
- Exhibit products, present features and benefits, and manage transfer orders.
Brand Development:
- Build strategic alliances, implement marketing activities, and facilitate product training.
- Provide technical support, maintain brand loyalty, and update the End-User database.
Research and Development Innovation:
- Collaborate with customers on new product innovations, identify opportunities, and communicate product changes.
Reporting and Administration:
- Compile sales reports and ensure live customer data is captured in Honeybee.
