Requirements
- A relevant three-year tertiary qualification.
- A minimum of 8 years’ management experience
- Working knowledge of Planning/Local Government legislation,
Land-Use Schemes, Enforcement of National Building
Regulations, MSA, NEMA Regulations and other related
legislation and policies
- Demonstrated prosecutorial and/or legal experience, including
case preparation, legal analysis, and presentation of
evidence in formal proceedings would be advantageous.
- Computer literacy in MS Office.
- A valid driver's license
Key Performance Areas
- Initiate, oversee and manage the implementation of processes
and strategies related to Enforcement functions
- Implement, monitor and report on legislative and technical
requirements as per applicable legislation
- Directs and controls outcomes associated with utilization,
productivity and performance of personnel
- Manage outcomes through continuous assessment,
intervention, and adjustment to the Enforcement Strategy,
including the operational plans.
- Engagement and communication with internal and external
departments and stakeholders
- Ensuring a climate that is conducive to promoting and
sustaining motivational levels, productivity, performance and
improving the quality of work-life, so as to cultivate an
environment that facilitates meeting of service delivery
objectives.
- Managing compliance with Corporate and Departmental
administrative policies, procedures and guidelines
- Establish and manage the functional alignment and
integration of the Enforcement Branch Function in
Development Management
