The Role:
We are seeking a high-performing Insurance Business Development Executive to grow our market share in the Eastern and Western Cape regions by identifying, securing, and nurturing new business opportunities. This is a dynamic, client-facing role for someone who thrives on meeting new people, generating leads, and influencing decision-makers. You will focus on opening doors and creating opportunities in strategic sectors.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive client acquisition and generate new business leads in our target markets.
- Build relationships with senior stakeholders and understand their business strategies and needs.
- Position insurance solutions as strategic enablers to support client growth.
- Engage in active networking and lead generation.
- Maintain accurate pipeline management and provide market intelligence feedback.
- Deliver excellent post-sales servicing through client onboarding, follow-ups, and issue resolution.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Energetic, inquisitive, and driven individuals with a natural ability to sell.
- Strong business-to-business sales experience (2–4 years) with large commercial or corporate accounts.
- Exceptional networking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven track record of achieving targets and thriving in a results-driven environment.
- Strong commercial and entrepreneurial acumen, with the ability to influence senior decision-makers.
- Bilingualism (English and Afrikaans) is preferred.
Advantageous Experience:
- Exposure to logistics, property development, agriculture, renewable markets, or boutique environments.
- Experience in highly incentivized sales environments.
- FAIS Fit and Proper qualification or insurance advanced knowledge.
