About Role
Glodina is seeking an experienced and results driven Supervisor to oversee the daily operations and overall performance of the Factory Shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, managing shop operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining stock control, and achieving operational and financial objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
Financial Management
- Manage all cash flow activities within the Shop Outlet.
- Ensure correct application of financial control procedures.
- Reconcile monies received against banked amounts.
- Ensure daily cashing-up procedures are completed accurately.
- Monitor turnover, gross profit percentages, wages, and overtime.
- Submit daily turnover and financial reports to Management and Finance.
Order Processing
- Ensure accurate and timeous processing of customer and shop orders.
- Process Stock Clearance Lists.
- Process email and telephonic orders.
- Prepare written quotations for customers.
Stocktaking & Stock Control
- Perform and supervise stocktaking activities.
- Ensure stock records are accurately maintained.
- Investigate stock discrepancies and variances.
Performance Management
- Supervise and manage Shop personnel performance.
- Conduct performance appraisals against agreed objectives.
- Manage discipline and grievance matters where required.
Customer Service
- Maintain regular communication with customers.
- Promote new product ranges and special promotions.
- Attend to customer queries and complaints professionally.
General Administration & Shop Operations
- Ensure POS selling prices are accurate.
- Verify that no variances exist between actual takings and Syspro records.
- Ensure the Shop is maintained in a clean and appealing condition.
- Supervise security operations and enforce security protocols.
- Coordinate advertising initiatives and promotional campaigns.
- Assume overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the Shop Outlet
Minimum Requirements
- NQF Level 6 tertiary qualification
- Preferably a bachelor’s degree in Retail Management, Business Management or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a retail or similar environment.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
