POSITION: IT ASSISTANT

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To deliver a support service with regards to PEP Africa’s IT systems and processes, dealing with day-to-day business IT requirements and serve as the link between external IT support and end-users.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide desktop support
- Provide Desktop Support to Central Office, Countries and DC’s
- Maintain and support POS lab setups for testing, training and troubleshooting purposes
2. Liaise and coordinate with Pepkor Nextech Desktop Support regarding all IT needs
- Coordinate the process to resolve IT-related issues
- User Account coordination with Pepkor Nextech Desktop Support
3. Provide DC Support
- Coordinate process to resolve power and network connectivity issues
- Log calls with the Pepkor Nextech network teams
4. Manage end-to-end procurement function for all IT, POS equipment and some Software applications
- Ensure equipment is ordered, all invoices are received, submitted to Finance for payment & request remittances
- Control IT equipment & Software applications
5. System support
- General Maintenance/ Assistance with ERP user administration
- Manage user access by handling password queries and resets, creating and deleting accounts, and processing permission requests
6. Assist with ad hoc tasks / projects
- Provide ongoing support with regards to Google Workspace apps and devices
- Troubleshooting issues on Google Workspace
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant IT tertiary qualification
- 2+ years’ relevant experience
- Retail experience (advantageous)
- Google workspace tools and applications
- Presentation and facilitation skills
- Programming experience or knowledge would be an advantage
- South African Citizen
