Our goal is to meet the growing demand for Talent in Africa and Europe; by recruiting and developing Talent throughout Sub Saharan Africa in order to service the diverse needs to enable projects at our clients. Talent employed will have the full experience of Deloitte, while getting both local and international exposure to a diverse set of clients, working remotely from Africa. Job Description
Deloitte Africa Talent has an exciting career opportunity for a Manager with Payments experience within our Regulatory Risk team. This is a great opportunity for someone with the drive and determination to help develop the Regulatory Compliance service line within our Risk Advisory practice. The successful candidate will be innovative in understanding and applying our current capabilities and services. The purpose of this role is to provide compliance and regulatory advice to a broad range of Financial Services clients.
Every client assignment is unique providing you with an opportunity to work on a variety of projects and tasks, across sectors and industries including the following:

Provision of technical expertise to assist a broad range of clients to manage their relevant regulatory requirements, with a focus on payment firms, platforms and digital assets.

Support the development of new business opportunities and working closely with the senior management team.

The interpretation and implementation of regulations.

Supporting the development of Client Regulatory Strategies and Frameworks.

Supporting the development of compliance policies and procedures.
-
Reviewing client documentation in relation to regulatory requirements.
-
Supporting internal audit services specific to compliance with regulatory requirements.
-
Secondments to client Compliance, Risk and Operations Functions.
-
Design and delivery of regulatory training tailored to meet client’s needs etc.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must demonstrate skills and experience in some of the following areas:
-
proven experience in compliance or regulatory experience within a financial services environment (preferably Payments, Fintech and Banking) in industry or practice, as part of a Financial Services Institution, or in an advisory, law or business consulting capacity.

Strong technical knowledge in regulation, regulatory strategy and Financial Regulator rules and guidance procedures, existing and new, with a focus on key payment regulations such as PSD2, MiCA and E-Mony directive.

A good understanding of aspects of current payments regulation with an ability to develop a specialism in other areas of new regulation such as the evolving Fitness & Probity requirements, senior executive accountability, conflict of interest management and governance arrangements.

Highly motivated, with a proven ability to work on own initiative within a challenging and dynamic work environment.

Outstanding communication (both spoken and written) and people skills.

Demonstrated outstanding planning, project management, networking and influencing skills
-
Professional Diploma in Compliance - Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland (ACOI), or other is desirable.

Strong IT skills (Microsoft applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) are desirable.
