About the Role
Trustech is seeking a highly skilled and reliable Installation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is a technical expert with a strong background in auto-electrical work, specifically focused on vehicle tracking and truck camera systems. Compensation & Benefits
- Starting Salary: R12,000 per month during a 3-month probation period.
- Permanent Salary: R15,000 per month upon successful completion of probation.
- Company Vehicle: A company vehicle will be provided for traveling to and from client sites.
- Company Phone: A company mobile phone will be issued for work purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Tracking: Install, test and maintain tracking units in both private vehicles and commercial trucks (12V and 24V systems).
- Camera Systems: Professionally route, install and configure camera monitoring systems on commercial trucks.
- Power Supply: Work with and troubleshoot basic electrical components, including both auto-electrical systems and general/home power supply systems.
- Quality Control: Ensure all installations meet high safety and operational standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Tracking Experience: At least 4 years of proven experience in vehicle tracking installations (12–24 volt).
- Camera Experience: At least 4 years of hands-on experience installing camera systems on trucks.
- Electrical Knowledge: Solid understanding of both vehicle power and home power supply work.
- Location: Must reside in or very close to the Durbanville area.
- License: A valid driver’s license is strictly required.
- Personal Attributes: Sober habits, reliable, and trustworthy. Must be comfortable working in a faith-based environment.
Advantageous (Bonus Skills)
- A relevant NQF certificate or formal technical/electrical qualification.
