Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join our team. You’ll be the face of Thule at the V&A Waterfront, helping customers find the perfect gear for their adventures while ensuring a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with product selection and inquiries Demonstrate and explain Thule products, including installation guidance Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock replenishment, and support regular stock counts — reporting any discrepancies to the Store Manager Support in-store promotions, events, and promotional displays Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, escalating to the Store Manager where needed Follow store procedures and policies as set out in the company retail manual Stay up to date with product knowledge and promotions Support team goals and contribute to a positive store culture
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of retail or customer-facing sales experience (required) Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town Must be available to work weekends and public holidays Passion for outdoor activities, travel, or adventure gear Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong numerical and cash-handling skills, with commercial awareness Basic computer literacy (POS systems, email, inventory tools) Physically able to assist with product installations and lifting items
