The Role
A leading South African organisation is looking for an experienced Technical Solutions Lead to provide both technical leadership and hands-on expertise across its digital and internal systems landscape.
This role sits at the intersection of digital solutions, enterprise systems, infrastructure, vendors, development partners, and business stakeholders. You'll play a key role in ensuring technology solutions are secure, scalable, supportable, and aligned with the organisation's long-term technology strategy.
This is not a pure software development role. It is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, influencing solution design, working with multiple stakeholders, and driving sustainable technology decisions.
Skills and Experience
- Approximately 5+ years in a hands-on technical role such as Technical Lead, Senior Developer, or Solution Analyst.
- Strong experience building and supporting enterprise systems, integrations, and data solutions.
- Solid SQL skills, including writing queries and stored procedures.
- Hands-on experience with APIs, integrations, reporting solutions (Power BI, SSRS), or modern development frameworks.
- Experience designing and supporting system integrations and data flows.
- Comfortable working with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.

- Provide technical oversight across digital platforms, enterprise systems, upgrades, and solution initiatives.
- Contribute hands-on to development, integrations, reporting, data analysis, platform enhancements, and technical troubleshooting.
- Evaluate vendor and solution proposals from technical, security, integration, operational, and scalability perspectives.
- Coordinate system upgrades, integrations, and technical implementations.
- Work closely with internal teams, vendors, and development partners to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Identify technical risks including vendor lock-in, fragmented architecture, weak integrations, security concerns, and unsupported technologies.
- Promote standardisation, reusable solutions, and sound architectural practices.
- Provide clear recommendations on solution risks, trade-offs, dependencies, and long-term sustainability.
