We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Cabinet Maker / Installer with a strong background in custom cabinetry, joinery, and on-site installations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and a solid understanding of materials, tools, and installation techniques. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality work from workshop to final installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate custom cabinetry, wardrobes, vanities, and built-in furniture from detailed plans and drawings
- Perform precise installation of cabinetry and joinery on-site, ensuring a perfect fit and finish
- Work with various materials including solid timber, MDF, plywood, laminates, and veneers
- Operate and maintain woodworking machinery and power tools
- Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and cutting lists
- Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members
- Ensure all work is completed to company standards, on time and within budget
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during fabrication and installation
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a cabinet maker and installer
- Proven track record of high-quality work with contactable references required
- Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings
- Proficiency with woodworking tools and machinery
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift and install cabinetry
- Reliable transport
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
