PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Manage and co-ordinate technical activities within the Engineering Group, while evaluating process feasibility hazop, environmental impact, economic and value evaluation studies.
SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO
- Work with Head of Refinery and Process Engineers to develop functional strategy that covers all strategic themes.
- Identify and drive projects that will aid the Refinery’s variable and fixed cost reduction strategy.
- Develop models for data collection, profitability models, complete business cases and trade-off study documents for information sharing with the Exco, Senior Management, Junior and Leadership Forums.
- Collaborate with Evaluation and Process Engineers in order to evaluate sampling and processing capability for current and future feed materials.
- Manage the improvement of projects.
- Track and communicate cost reduction initiatives to the Refinery Manager.
- Assist in the development of the Refinery operational and capital budget.
- Support the Refinery Operations Manager in evaluating and interpreting the technical performance of the Refinery and Service Yard, to initiate and improve the Refinery Operation’s safety, quality and cost performance.
