An Island Resort on Zanzibar is looking to employ a hotel financial accountant whi will be required to work remotely meeting the following specifications:-
- BComm. (Fin Accounting), BComm. (Management Accounting) or BAcc. Degree
- Postgraduate diploma or Hons advantageous
- Completed articles (preferably SAIPA)
- Must have 3 years post article experience, preferably in tourism or hospitality industry along with a minumum of 4 years experience as an accountant in a hotel environment.
- Registered member of a professional accounting body beneficial (SAIPA)
- Experience with Pastel Partner - at least 3 years;
- Experience with Pilot and Protel will be beneficial;
- Experience with bookkeeping up to trial balance and balance sheet - at least 3 years;
- Ability to work independently, follow through tasks, use own judgement as required, will be required to travel to the property every three months for a few days to oversee stock takes and ensure all legislation is being adhered to.
