Position Summary
You will be responsible for managing projects on-site, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership in subcontractor management, client engagement and contract execution.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and manage projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets and risk registers.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, manufacturing and site activities.
- Manage project resources and ensure milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
- Monitor project progress, quality, scope, risks and contractual compliance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
- Lead project meetings, communicate progress and resolve project issues proactively.
- Oversee project financials, invoicing, change orders, cash flow and cost control.
- Prepare and submit project reports, schedules and progress updates.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety and company standards.
- Manage project handover, documentation, close-out, warranties and lessons learned.
- Support tendering activities by providing project planning, technical and resource input.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- N3 / Matric Certificate
- Project Management qualification (essential)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management within mechanical/electrical construction
- Strong knowledge of contracts (FIDIC/NEC) and project financials
- Job costing, financial planning and forecasts
- Proficient in MS Office & MS Projects / project planning software
- Fire industry & mining industry (beneficial)
- Valid driver’s licence/Willing to travel
- Must pass mine medical examination
- Available to start immediately
