POSITION SUMMARY: The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the project teams at Fortna. This role will aid and assist in delivering projects on time, in scope and within budget by being a partner of the project management team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Become a vital part of our project management team throughout the lifecycle of a project

Update Status Reports weekly with the Project Manager to inform Clients and management of current state status

Document and distribute meeting minutes in weekly project team meetings

Aggregate key project information for Project Management Review Meetings with senior management

Collect project schedule information from other departments to provide real-time information on schedule status
-
Work with finance on project purchase order generation and invoice recognition timing

Assist with preparation of project change notices
-
Assist in daily project management documentation and review, such as risk register updates and reviews and the preparation and build of change management collateral

Provide invoice statuses to project managers to track revenue

Create and maintain project documentation and folders in Microsoft Teams
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education / Work Experience:
Associates Degree in Business Administration or similar field, or 5 years of work experience in coordinating and Business Administration
Knowledge / Skills / Competencies:

Demonstrated cost management skills

Proven experience in a project coordinator role within a project-based company

Proven ability to assist multiple resources remotely

Consistently understands the importance of communication both up and downstream

Advanced understanding of listening, oral and written communication competencies, and skills

Demonstrated ability to assist in coordinating projects to achieve time, scope, and budget

Foundational time/task management skills

Proficient understanding of MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project & Visio)
Other Qualifications:

Ability to travel domestically – approximately 10%

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in one of the following disciplines: Project Management, Business
Experience: Experience within the supply chain / material handling industry

Also required is the ability to talk and hear, in person and by telephone; use of hands to handle, feel, or operate standard office equipment; and ability to reach with hands and arms. When travelling to Client sites, essential requirements of this position may require physical presence in various environments and locations. Physical stamina may be required for prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and/or working in cramped quarters. Exposure to potentially dangerous tools and equipment amidst a variety of building materials is probable, as is occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can vary from being relatively quiet, to moderate, to excessive. Safety shoes or boots may be required in certain situations. Additional safety clothing including gloves, hardhats, and devices to protect eyes, mouth, or hearing, will be worn as necessary.
