About Us
Stabilid is an established building construction company seeking a hands-on, organised individual to lead the setup and management of our independent Plant Yard facility.
The Role
You will take full ownership of our plant yard operations transforming our existing stores into a functional hub for storing, issuing, servicing, and tracking all small tools, plant, and equipment across our sites.
This is not a desk job. We need someone practical, systematic, and comfortable taking charge.
What You'll Manage
- Small tools and plant (transfers, storage, minor servicing)
- Scaffold systems
- Crane truck and teleporters
- Rubble truck and skip bins (future expansion)
- Company bakkies
- Edge protection systems
- Temporary electrical distribution boards and lighting
- Ladders and signage
- Site agent offices and head office facilities
- Concrete buckets, cantilever platforms, crane skips
- Slings and rigging equipment
- Single-lift column setups (boxes, turfalls, slings)
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Proven experience in plant, equipment, or stores management ideally in construction
- Strong organisational and inventory control skills
- Computer literate (comfortable with tracking systems, spreadsheets, basic reporting)
- Practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Ability to coordinate with site teams and manage equipment logistics
- Valid driver's licence
Advantageous:
- Experience setting up or restructuring a stores/yard operation
- Familiarity with construction plant and small tool maintenance requirements
- Supervisory experience
