On the Dot, a division of Media24 in Johannesburg has a vacancy for a Key Account Manager. The purpose of this position is to generate and grow sales in order to sell the Company's products / services within the geographic or product boundaries, thereby meeting predetermined targets.
Key responsibilities/outputs:

Develop and implement account plans and approaches in line with the overall strategy formulated by the National Sales Director (regional / national)

Identify and generate new business opportunities on an ongoing basis in order to achieve predetermined sales targets

Prepare and present sales proposals and presentations
-
Create tailored solutions which meet the client’s short- and long-term needs
-
Build strategic working relationships with clients direct by maintaining a high level of client contact (telephonic / face to face) to ensure that their specific requirements are addressed, in order to monitor and grow existing business

Analyse potential sales opportunities by using data analyses, segmented research and information available to identify the attributes most valued by these potential clients
-
Provide professional and exceptional client service in all interactions with clients
-
Closely monitor competitors and maintain client database
-
Keep all administrative work updated
-
Report on sales opportunities and achievements as required (weekly / monthly)

Maintain a high level of relevant industry knowledge
-
Liaise with operations department to ensure that distribution is executed effectively

Preparing of spreadsheets
Qualifications and experience:
-
Matric with relevant tertiary education is essential
-
Media Sales background is preferential with a key understanding of the market and media environment
-
3 - 5 years’ relevant sales experience in the media industry

In-depth knowledge of the media industry, with specific emphasis on newspapers
-
Firm and sound knowledge of Digital advertising
-
Personal computer skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Personal drive, professionalism and integrity

Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

Strong presentation skills

Well-developed leadership skills
-
Well-developed / proven advertising agency and big client contact base

Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport essential
